iPhone, iPad and Mac apps, built natively in SwiftUI.
We design, build and ship native Apple apps from Northern Virginia, from the first sketch through App Store approval and the updates that follow. Our own app, Journey Tracker, is live on the App Store.
Apps that feel like they belong on the device.
- Security first
- Decided before design: data stays on the device or in the person's own iCloud, secrets live in the Keychain, all traffic is encrypted, and nothing is collected that the app doesn't need.
- iPhone, iPad and Mac
- One SwiftUI codebase with layouts tuned for each screen size.
- Health and fitness
- HealthKit reading and writing, including clinical health records, with the privacy disclosures App Review expects.
- Sync and storage
- Core Data with CloudKit, so data stays in the person's own iCloud. No server for us to run or for anyone to breach.
- Subscriptions
- StoreKit 2 subscriptions and one-time purchases, with paywalls that follow Apple's rules.
- Widgets and extensions
- Home Screen widgets, Live Activities, share extensions and Apple Watch companions.
- Accessibility
- VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and contrast checked on every screen, not added at the end.
We know what Apple will ask.
Most app delays happen at App Review, not in development. Health apps get the closest look of all. We've taken a HealthKit app that uses clinical health records through review, and every submission now goes out with the review notes, privacy manifest, purpose strings and data-use answers already prepared.
- Privacy manifests and nutrition labels that match what the code actually does
- Clear review notes and demo access, so reviewers don't have to guess
- No medical claims in app copy or screenshots
- Calm, specific replies when App Review has questions
The tools, plainly.
- Language and UI
- Swift, SwiftUI, Swift Charts
- Apple frameworks
- HealthKit (including clinical health records), CloudKit, Core Data, StoreKit 2, SpriteKit
- Quality
- Swift Testing and XCTest suites, an accessibility audit and a security scan before each release
- Release
- TestFlight betas, App Store Connect, phased releases
Before you ask.
Do you also build the Android version?
Yes. We build Android natively in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose and keep it in step with the iOS app, so both feel right on their platform. See Android app development.
Can you take over or improve an existing iOS app?
Yes. We start with a code and App Store review audit, then fix what's risky before adding features.
Do you handle App Store submission?
Yes: screenshots, metadata, privacy labels, review notes and responses to App Review, through to approval.
Can you build apps that use health data?
Yes. Journey Tracker reads and writes HealthKit data, including clinical health records, and passed App Review with them. Health data stays on the person's devices.
How much does an app cost?
It depends on scope. After a first conversation we send a written scope and estimate, so you know the cost before work starts.
